Adam Malkovich first appeared in Metroid Fusion, (with the exception of the manga and the recent Metroid: Other M), as Samus's C.O. during her mission on B.S.L.. In both, Lego Metroid (Original) & Lego Metroid (Revamp) Adam returns as a cooperative interface aiding Samus on her mission with intel, storing downloaded scans and incoming sub-missions from her C.O. replacement, Andra.
Role[]
In Metroid Fusion, Adam played as Samus's C.O., in Lego Metroid, Adam plays as Samus's co-C.O., Andra being her C.O. All assignments are transferred to Adam and then given to Samus. After Adam, Samus, and Andra learned the truth of the disappearance of the X-nelians, Dal-G transfers assignments to Adam. A recent communication com link between Andra and Dal-G revealed Dal-G's secret base. In doing so, Dal-G fends off the first wave of Dorn's minions infiltrating the X-nelian Mine. Dal-G contacted Adam to call for Samus, where she is given a Data Chip, containing the remaining generator locations, for Adam. Samus then gives the Data Chip to Adam, where he analyzes it and aids Samus locating the remaining generators. The Data Chip also contains Dal-G's other secret base location, but cannot access that data until the mission objectives are completed. This situation has been brought to Andra's attention and putting everyone on high alert.
Capabilities[]
Adam can pilot Samus's gunship, the Hunter Class 2-Y Excavator, in her absence, if needed. Adam also manages scanned items Samus downloads when using her Scan Visor system. Samus's Power Suit cannot store scanned items so the data is sent to Adam who analyzes, interprets and stores the data within the ship's Scan Visor Memory Storage System. Adam can decipher alien lore and aid Samus by giving her background information when needed. Samus can then access the information by visiting her ship.
